The Elk and The Owl, Oil on Canvas, 48″x60″, Yael Zahavy-Mittelman

Please join me this July for my Featured artist show
at Parklane Gallery on 130 Park Lane Kirkland, Wa. 98033

DATE: July 6 – August 1, 2010
HOURS: Tues-Sun.  11am-7pm

Parklane Gallery: Yael Zahavy-Mittelman paints large works in oils, using the strength of color, shape and line as abstract expressions of the power of touch, connection, aloneness and sorrow.  Each painting in her show “Beads of Summer” tells it’s own story.  Lines and movement of color lead the eye and allow the viewer to explore the different elements of Yael’s work. The viewer is asked to participate in an art experience from which to create his or her own story, even as Yael weaves her story throughout the show.  ”I believe in that creative process that keeps changing my life’s perceptions over and over, clarifying my life’s perspectives.  As long as I continue to believe in that process and I am candid with it, I hope the viewer of my art will sense the sincerity by experiencing part of my process.”  As an art therapist and artist, Yael sees her path changing daily with new insights into the cycle of her life process–art is her path and the path becomes her art.
