This year Parklane Gallery has given it’s October Featured Artist space to a fun new show format: the block party.

Both community artists and Parklane Gallery members were invited to contribute works done specifically for the show, all sized to exactly 12 inches high by 12 inch wide. Artists were free to explore any media in both 2D and 3D work as long as it fit within the one square foot size requirement.
The Block Party began with a fun new approach as well: a Dropping-Off Reception, held on the evening of October 3rd. The event provided a chance for all the participating artists to get together, meet and snack prior to the show beginning on Tuesday, October 4th. Parklane Gallery will also be hosting an Artist’s Reception for the Block Party on Thursday October 14th from 5 to 8 pm. Please make plans to join us for what is sure to be a delightful evening.
